If you're on the go and don't have a laptop, but still want your "desktop" to look the same everytime you log into a computer, there is BETA software available called Schmedley that allows you to take it with you.
Now, you can go to the public library and have a Mac-looking desktop, provided your connection is fast enough. Steal an "invite" from Ars Technica while they're still available, or wait for it to come out of beta testing.
